Get some of your much needed Christmas shopping done during Downtown Monroe's Candlelight Shopping. The downtown retail shops and restaurants will stay open until 9 p.m. each Thursday and Friday between Thanksgiving and Christmas to allow you to visit the stores after their normal business hours. This shopping experience also includes Santa Claus being available in a different downtown store each night for pictures and Christmas wishes. Outside there will be music groups playing and singing in front of the courthouse and carolers roaming throughout the streets and shops to be sure that the Christmas spirit is spread. Carriage rides will also be available beginning in front of the Historic Courthouse for a per person charge. If you would like to make reservations please call Loren Roberts at (770) 266-5159.
