Don't miss Monroe native, Cody Parks & the Dirty South's first performance in his hometown! Local favorite, Tyler Crews will open the show at 7:00 pm followed by a performance by Cody beginning at 8:00. It will be a night filled with hometown talent. Cody Parks & The Dirty South bring their unique brand of country music to the August edition of Monroe's First Friday Concert Series. Often described as “Def Leppard on cornbread,” their sound is the perfect blend of 80’s rock and modern country. Formed in late 2016, they have developed a following in Nashville with their energetic performances, which can be seen every month at Dirty Thursday, their residency show that features some of Nashville’s top songwriters and up and coming artists. Lately, they have been hitting the road hard, recently sharing the stage with Florida Georgia Line and Kane Brown at Country Stampede in Manhattan, KS, a yearly country music festival that draws over 100,000 people. Come watch Cody Parks & The Dirty South crank up the country at 8pm on Friday, August 3rd in downtown Monroe.
A native of Monroe, Cody Parks is probably better known around town as Cody Hutchings (Parks is his middle name). He graduated from George Walton Academy in 2008, and went on to graduate from Georgia Tech in 2013, where he was a member of the Yellow Jacket football team. He moved to Nashville in 2016 to pursue a career in country music.
