Poppies: A Photographic Presentation of Women, War & Peace

The Historical Society of Walton County invites you to attend a Photographic Presentation of  Poppies:  Women, War, Peace by Dr. Lee Karen Stow on June 25th at 3 pm in the fellowship hall of the First Baptist Church of Monroe.  This project  was inspired by Ms. Monia Belle Michael of Good Hope and Madame Anna E. Guerin of France who immortalized the Poppy as a symbol of remembrance of war veterans.  Dr. Stow has interviewed women over 80 countries in this six year project.

Sponsored by:  The Historical Society of Walton County, The Walton County Veteran's Memorial & The Monroe Museum.
