Come rain or shine!  The ceremony will be moved indoors in the event of rain.  

We watched, we cheered and she won!!  Now it's time to celebrate!  Join us Saturday, September 18th at 10:00 am in Downtown Monroe as we officially welcome home our Olympic Medalist, Javianne Oliver.  Make your own signs or stop by the court house (9:30-10:00) and grab a sign then line the streets along Broad Street from Church Street to Highland Avenue for a parade.   Afterwards,  gather on the lawn of the Historic Court House for a presentation and photo opportunities.   

Javianne Oliver, daughter of Jonnifer and Marvin Oliver, is a Monroe native and a 2013 graduate of Monroe Area High School.  Javianne and members of Team USA women's 4x100m relay won the silver medal in the Tokyo 2021 Olympic games on Friday, August 6th.
