A party 200 years in the making!  Mark your calendar now for November 28th through December 5th.  We have a week filled with activities planned to celebrate our Bicentennial.  

November 28th  Monroe Then & Now- 4:00 pm Presented by Steve Brown, historian from the Monroe Museum - Grace Monroe -315 N Madison Ave

November 29th Downtown Green Groundbreaking & Time Capsule -4:00 pm.  Bicentennial Reception at the McDaniel Tichenor House 5:00-7:00 pm

Enter the contest for 200 images to represent 200 years! 

November 30th City-wide Birthday Party -3:00-7:00pm City Hall 215 N Broad Street.  Food trucks, inflatables,  city touch a truck, birthday cake and more!

December 1st - OnStage Theater Event 7:00 pm Wayfarer Music Hall - Look back of Monroe's Christmas past with an original play, enjoy Monroe trivia and a hot chocolate bar & treats.

         Walk, Talk & Ask - 5:00 pm historic walking tour of Monroe with historian Steve Brown

December 2nd - Christmas Parade 6:30 pm

December 3rd - Shop Downtown Bicentennial Celebration.  Spend the day shopping downtown.  Bring your receipt of $25 or more to the Visitors Center (10:00 am - 8:00 pm) to enter to win a Bicentennial prize pack and $200 in  Downtown Dollars.

December 4th-  Citywide Clean Up Day 8:00 am-12:00 pm
