July 4th Hometown Celebration

Calendar Date:
Saturday, July 4, 2020 - 3:00pm

July 4th

With respect to Governor Kemp’s latest executive order and to our citizens for whom we share a responsibility to protect, the City of Monroe will postpone the fireworks display scheduled for this July 4th.   A makeup date in September will be announced later.  During this time, we ask that you continue to enjoy yourselves and celebrate our Country, but continue to honor social distancing and other safekeeping protocols in doing so.

Join us for a July 4th Hometown Celebration presented by The Walton County Boys and Girls Club!  Starting at 3:00 pm, there will be music, food, and fun.  We'll end the evening with a spectacular fireworks show provided by the City of Monroe.   Activities will take place at the Athens Technical College Football Field in Monroe.  See the link below to view vendor & sponsor information and ways you can be a part of this great community event!
